I can't believe that I never blogged about the last Aspiring Photographer Workshop that I did back in Manhattan, KS! A very special thanks to Adrian and Christian for putting up with 20+ photographers in 100+ degree heat! Not only are they a tremendously beautiful couple, but I never saw one little bit of sweat on them the entire time! They just glowed with love! =)

Here are a list of the attendees (if you attended and aren't on this list then shame on you for not signing in when you arrived)! If you are ever interested in being notified about upcoming APWs, please leave a comment and I'll contact you with details! Thanks everyone for participating!!! =)

Polly & Chris | Wedding | Carmel, CA | Brandi & Chris

Brandi and I traveled to my hometown of San Jose, CA to photograph the wedding of an amazing friend of mine Polly and her rockstar of a fiance-husband, Chris! You may recall their engagement photos from their awesome session in NYC - Polly & Chris ~ Engaged!

We went to the beautiful beach town of Carmel for their incredibly ridiculously fabulous wedding. Seriously, Brandi and I were so blown away with awesomeness that we took over 5000 photos between the two of us. Yup, you read that right. And below, you'll see why we were so excited to take photos. Polly looked stunningly amazing and I love when couples infuse their personalities into their wedding day - chucks, hats, barefoot in the sand...what more can you ask for? The details were absolutely incredible and everything was so just vibrant and awesome. Yes, I'm running out of adjectives.

Congrats again and thank you both so much for selecting Brandi and me to photograph your celebration of love!

Ceremony & Reception: Carmel Valley Ranch
DJs: Love Connection - seriously, best DJs ever. Mike and Kenny were the best DJs I have ever worked with at a wedding. Their ability to keep people on the dance floor by mixing beats was unparalleled. Please contact them for your upcoming event - theloveconnect@gmail.com or 323.863.5083

One of my favorites!

I've known Polly for a really long time and so I wanted to put together a little something special for her and for the opportunity to see high school friends in a mini 10 year reunion! Enjoy the slideshow below and please click the HD button to view it in full screen!

Ysabel & Louis | Wedding | Brooklyn, NY | Chris

The opportunity to go back to Brooklyn and photograph a wedding under the Brooklyn Bridge was just too good to pass up even if it was the day after Julianne and Lonnie's wedding in Nebraska! Plus, it was Ysabel and Louis. Who you all might remember from their epic engagement session at Coney Island and the featured engagement session on our main site, www.labrisaphotography.com!

I started at Ysabel's family's home: a super cute Brooklyn apartment that reminded me so much of my host family's house in Costa Rica while I was doing a Spanish Immersion Program. Even better, I had a chance to brush up on my Spanish with Ysabel's aunt and cousins who flew in from Spain for the wedding!

Though rain forced our hand, The River Cafe was totally prepared and moved the ceremony inside where everything proceeded beautifully! Such an intimate wedding filled with laughter, love and joy and it perfectly represented Ysabel and Louis' style and personalities! I even had a chance to take some cityscape photographs at the very end of the super fun reception! Thank you both again so much for the opportunity to photograph your wedding! It was everything that I could have asked for and so much more!!! =)

Special thanks to Melanie of Melanie LiCausi Photography for all of her amazing ideas, assistance and awesomeness!

Penny is who introduced me to Ysabel and Louis in the first place!

Louis and his boys hanging out during the day

Ysabel is gorgeous - inside and out.

I love this photograph for so many reasons.

Ysabel's parents are too cute!

Also am in love with this!

Louis gave a beautiful toast to his wife and to his new extended family

First dance

Ysabel was a dancing machine!

Family = Love

For their wedding favors, Ysabel and Louis went above and beyond and gave away these bottles of Patron to all of their guests!

One of my favorite photographs ever.
