La Brisa Updates!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Sorry for the lack of wedding posts during wedding month! I will definitely continue them through April as well! I have a few updates to share with all of you:

1) Photography for a Cause starts on April 1st! Photography For a Cause is where we sell our fine art prints for the entire month of April and then we donate 100% of profits to non-profit organizations!

2) Next Thursday, there will be a HUGE announcement about some exciting changes at La Brisa!

RIP Chico

With a heavy heart...yesterday, we received the unfortunate news that my wife's family dog, Chico, passed away unexpectedly due to a heart issue. He was 9 years young and went to doggy heaven way too early. Throughout his time, he was the sweetest, most loyal and happiest little guy ever. I hope you continue to boogie board in doggy heaven.

Pamela and Tom's wedding was phenomenal. Seriously. Their day was phenomenally hot. Like fry an egg on the sidewalk hot. Nonetheless, Pamela and Tom were completely oblivious to the elements. They were so focused on each other throughout the day that nothing else mattered. And THAT was phenomenal. They were married at First Lutheran Church and held their super fun reception at The Wareham! Thank you again so much for trusting La Brisa Photography to photograph your incredible day!

52WoA - Week 31: Minimalism & Week 32: Music

As a photographer, sometime you need to work on things outside of your normal purview and this project is going to help us (and you) challenge, grow and creatively develop your photography as a whole. Weekly for the next year, we will be sharing our images with you here!

For those of you interested in participating, PLEASE join us! The more the merrier! music is one of my earliest memories- it's been a constant part of my life that I would never live without. Also- taking this shot taught me something new about my camera which is pretty awesome! yay for multi-exposure shots!

my wife gave me this guitar as a present while we were still in college. i played it a TON for about a month. calloused fingers and all. then i just stopped because my hand could not play the F chord. it made me really sad.

The adorable Kelsey and Dan had their wedding at Prairiewood in Manhattan, KS. You may remember them from their super fun Kelsey & Dan | Attraction Session | Kansas | b. Their guests came from all over the country and made their day a loving and intimate one. Autumn and I had an amazing experience working with all of their family and friends and the outdoor ceremony under the open Kansas sky couldn’t have been a better setting for their sincere nuptials.
