Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Hope you are having an amazing day with your families and friends! Today, I am excited to feature Dayna and Ryan’s incredible Lake Zephyr, NV wedding on the blog! You may remember this gorgeous couple from their amazing Attraction Session that I photographed in San Jose, CA ~ Dayna & Ryan!

Ryan and I have known each other since we were 5 years old. We played baseball together from Little League through high school and it was truly an honor and a privilege to photograph his and Dayna’s wedding! They were married on an absolutely beautiful day in Lake Zephyr, NV on the beach in front of family and friends. Their first look was on a dock and it was absolutely perfect. The entire day was filled with laughter and love and I felt that that truly embodied the dream wedding that Dayna and Ryan desired.

52WoA: Weeks 18 - Motion & 19 - Inspired by a Movie

As a photographer, sometime you need to work on things outside of your normal purview and this project is going to help us (and you) challenge, grow and creatively develop your photography as a whole. Weekly for the next year, we will be sharing our images with you here!

For those of you interested in participating, PLEASE join us! The more the merrier! You definitely do not need to be a professional photographer, this is something you can easily do with your point and shoot, cell phone, ipad, etc. You can comment with a link to your image here on our blog or on our La Brisa fan page or you can tag La Brisa Photography in your image on your own FB page or use the hashtag #52WoA on twitter that way we can share your efforts with everyone else! If you are interested in joining our La Brisa Aspiring Photographer Workshop group on FB, please request to join as we will also be sharing our images there too.

Leslie & Brett | Attraction Session | Manhattan, KS | Chris & autumn

The world of photography is an odd one. Honestly, I do not really remember when/where I actually met Leslie, but I do know that she is absolutely gorgeous and has modeled for La Brisa Aspiring Photographer Workshops in the past and I have been entirely grateful for just her overall awesomeness. When she became engaged and asked me to be her photographer, I was ecstatic. Leslie and Brett are getting married tomorrow and I feel so privileged to witness it.

For their Attraction Session, autumn and I photographed this adorable couple and their wolves in Aggieville, on campus at Kansas State University and finished up at Top of the World Park. Aside from the impending tornado, we managed to shoot inbetween massive storms and had an amazing shoot!

2013 La Brisa Calendar of Awesomeness!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I am ridiculously excited to announce the sale of the 2013 La Brisa Calendar of Awesomeness! 100% of the profits from the sale of the calendar will be donated to Friends of the Sunset Zoo (FOSZ)!

The Friends of Sunset Zoo is a 501c3 non-profit whose members support the Zoo through membership services, donations, advocacy and fund-raising. FOSZ is a fun way to get involved in the community and Sunset Zoo's efforts to protect and preserve global wildlife.
