The Rouse Family | Joy Session | Topeka, KS | Chris

After my first trip ever to South Carolina, I am hooked. The people, the history and the overall beauty of the area is undeniable. Literally, I cannot wait to go back! You can view photos of my morning as a tourist HERE. Today, I am super excited to share my session with the Rouse family!

One of my goals with La Brisa is to be your photographer for life. And that is why I absolutely love the Rouse family! From their super fun Attraction Session to their gorgeous wedding and now to the start of their incredible family with this Joy Session, I am greatly honored and privileged to have been their photographer for their life celebrations. The best part is that throughout all of these major events, we have never lived in the same town! =)

Charleston, SC Travel Photography by Chris

Happy Friday everyone! For my first trip to South Carolina, I built in an easy travel day so that I could explore the Charleston area before I photograph Alyssa and Danny’s wedding! As usual, I embarked on a journey for some sunrise images and then wandered around the gorgeous French Quarter area. This is an incredible city with a tangible presence of history that makes you want to learn more. Here are a few images from what I witnessed yesterday. They will be available for sale through Photography for a Cause event that will take place in April 2012.

52 WoA: Week 11 - Your Favorite Color

As a photographer, sometime you need to work on things outside of your normal purview and this project is going to help us (and you) challenge, grow and creatively develop your photography as a whole. Weekly for the next year, we will be sharing our images with you here!

The Olsen Family | La Brisa APW | Manhattan, KS | Chris

In a few hours, I will be on my way to Charleston, South Carolina to photography Alyssa and Danny’s wedding! Today, I want to share with you images from the latest La Brisa Aspiring Photographer Workshop that I hosted in Manhattan, KS. For this APW, I wanted to showcase how I work with family and children and so I invited one of our best clients, the Olsens, to model for us. Besides being absolutely beautiful, the Olsens are awesome and their son has a super fun personality!

Julie & Dusty | Attraction Session | Manhattan, KS | Chris

Julie and Dusty of D & J Smith Photography are gorgeous. Seriously, they are beautiful people. When we put our heads together to conceptualize an awesome session for them, I was ridiculously excited because I knew it would be phenomenal. Phenomenal is an understatement. We met for their sunrise Attraction Session at Pillsbury Crossing in Manhattan, KS and they absolutely ROCKED it!

Crystal & Jay | Wedding Album | Nassau, Bahamas

Happy Monday everyone! La Brisa will be grateful to Crystal and Jay for the lifetime of its existence. Crystal and Jay gave us our first international wedding opportunity and it was everything we could have asked for and more. Seriously, the entire trip was phenomenal! You can re-live their wedding day through this post, Crystal & Jeremiah | Wedding | Nassau, Bahamas | b & Chris. Now, thanks to the awesome graphic designers at Element Creative Studio, Crystal and Jay will have a MASSIVE 42 page beautiful leather wedding album! They could not narrow down their images enough for a 30 page album and so Element Creative Studio went above and beyond and designed them the largest and most awesome album ever for La Brisa!
