Last year, the Kaupp family and I met on a 100 degree ridiculously uncomfortable day in Manhattan, KS. Even with the harsh conditions, we had a blast and you can view those images here – The Kaupp Family | Joy Session | Manhattan, KS | Chris. Fast forward a year, and the conditions have changed just a little bit. Recently, I met this beautiful family at their lovely home in San Marcos, CA which is just north of San Diego. The weather was absolutely perfect and everyone was MUCH more comfortable and happy about being photographed! More importantly though, the Kaupp family has grown and so it was awesome seeing Lauren interact with her baby sister, Ali. John is definitely going to have his fair share of stressful and anxious nights because his daughters are BEAUTIFUL.

Mott, Owens & Swann Families | Joy Session | Manhattan, KS | Chris

Recognize this family? Well you should from their super fun session almost exactly a year ago – Mott, Owens & Swann Families | Joy Session | Manhattan, KS | Chris. Well, we met again for updated images and also to include the newest addition to the family, Wesley! For their session, we went to Tuttle Creek State Park to take advantage of the playground and beautiful fields!

The Olsen Family | Joy Session | Manhattan, KS | Chris

The Olsen family is incredible. I started photographing them two years ago and it is absolutely amazing to see how much Keaton has grown, matured and developed into such a handsome young man! Yet, his parents have figured out a way to transcend time and look as beautiful as ever! For me, it has definitely been an honor to be this family’s photographer. For their session, we met at Wildcat Park and then headed over to Anneberg Park for some fun candids. With children photography, I always love allowing kids being kids and I love seeing parents play with their children in a natural environment. The Olsen family exceeded expectations by starting to toss Keaton back and forth to each other and it was not even provoked by me! With such a zest for life, strong values and unselfish compassion for others, the Olsen family is incredible.
