Happy THURSDAY everyone!!! My first wedding of 2011 was absolutely incredible. Seriously. A Danish-Hawaiian wedding? What more could I want? Have I told you how much I love my clients? This opportunity enabled Brisa and me to go on our first vacation together since our honeymoon nearly 4 years ago. Ridiculous, right?
In order to spend more time with family and friends on their wedding day, I met up with Adrian and Christian a few days before their wedding for their portraits at Adrian's favorite part of Kauai: the North Shore. Adrian specifically requested epicness because she loves epic wedding photographs. Her words, not mine. But, I was happy to oblige her and hopefully I delivered!
Fast forward to their wedding day and it was perfect. An absolutely gorgeous Hawaiian day filled with love, family and friends. I learned so many Danish wedding traditions such as various songs sang during the reception, when the groom steps out of the room - all of the men give the bride a kiss (and vice versa), brudevals - a bridal waltz and the cutting of the groom's sock! Too fun, right?
Thank you again so much for the amazing opportunity to photograph your ridiculously awesome wedding! And I just wanted to give a quick shout out to all of Adrian and Christian's family and friends for all of their help throughout the day! You all rock! =)
If you are thinking about getting married in Hawaii, you MUST contact Manda at the Hukilau Lanai! Fabulous food and arrangements and the staff was courteous and awesome!
Also, you need to contact Noelle Purvis for your delicious wedding cake!
