The Olsen Family

I have soooooooooo much to blog about! So get ready for an action packed couple weeks of blogging! I'm finishing sessions faster than I can blog about them! Here's what you should be looking forward to on the blog: Amy & Steve, Krista & Travis, The Ingram Family, Brisa's Vet School Graduation (woohoo!), Shauna & Brian, Laura and Jake AND The Arnold Family! Whew! Ridiculous, right???

For today though, I am super excited to introduce you to Jennifer, Luke and Keaton (who just celebrated his 3-month birthday)!!! Thanks to Ashley and Scott's awesome referral, I had an wonderful time hanging out with the Olsen family! For family sessions, I love going to the family's home because that is where the family a) spends most of its time b) is the most comfortable and c) is the most convenient! So I headed over to their house and the Olsen family is absolutely gorgeous! You're probably thinking...yeah,  yeah, you say that about everyone, but seriously prepare your eyes for the beauty that is the Olsen family! I swear, they could be soap opera stars! That's right, that's how darn good looking they are! :)

We spent some time  in the front yard then to the backyard for a quick photo op of their canine children and then headed inside for some adorable closeups of Mr. Keaton! All the different areas worked brilliantly to showcase this beautiful family!

Thank you again sooooooo much for having me shoot your family session! I had such a wonderful time and I hope you did too!

Giving Back ~ ericamay.com

For those of you who follow my blog, you know all to well that I owe much of my success to the guidance, mentoring and assistance of Erica from www.ericamay.com. AND, you know how much I love it when photographers give back to their community!

Currently, Erica is offering portrait sessions where 100% of the proceeds are directly donated to the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership non-profit organization (HOBY)! She does a much much better job of explaining her cause in her blog post: You Can Make A Difference!

So if you're in the KC area and you are looking for some AWESOME portraits, please consider helping Erica help HOBY!

Lindsey & Chris ~ ENGAGED!

Lindsey is a planner. Chris is super laid back. Together, they make the perfect couple. I'm not a planner by any means and that is why I am super appreciative of my wife and I think we are a very awesome couple; therefore, Lindsey & Chris are awesome too! :) We started our morning at Tuttle Creek Park with a few dressy shots then headed down to Aggieville and finished up on the K-State campus. After spending so much time together, I realized a few things: 1) Lindsey is a fireball of energy and it is contagious to everyone around her 2) they bring out the best in each other...Lindsey puts Chris at ease and Chris, simply, makes Lindsey joyful. Throughout the session, I could not get Lindsey to stop smiling! and 3) Lindsey and Chris, as a couple, are willing to do anything together and that is exactly what you need for a successful marriage!

Thank you again so much for having me photograph your engagement session! You both were so flexible and open to my suggestions and I had soooooooooo much fun hanging out with you guys!

Martin & Johnson Families!

2 Parents + 4 Children = a ton of fun! Candid shots galore and some super cute individual family shots made for a perfect photo session! We headed out to  Tuttle Creek State Park and had an awesome time running around with the kids after they had to pose for a few traditional shots! All of the kids were so stinkin cute and you would never guess that they were not fans of my camera from the photos!

Thanks so much for selecting me to do your family session! Ashley and I had such an awesome time and we totally appreciated the kids braving the cold too!

Johnna & Lance ~ ENGAGED!

Due to some biblical weather, Johnna & Lance were unable to travel home to do their engagement session with their wedding photographer. Fortunately for me, my neighbor Becky, hooked me up with a referral and I had an awesome time with Johnna and Lance! We started out on the K-State campus and then hit up Aggieville for some sweet shots! I had so much fun hanging out with them because they are too cute! Always laughing and joking and not taking themselves seriously! That made it so much easier for me to take pictures of their personalities and love for each other! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and thank you so much for selecting me for your engagement session!
