Chu & Hsieh & Yeh Families :)

Happy Friday everyone! Been a busy week of blogging for me, but I really wanted to end the week with a post that is absolutely dear to my heart...my family! For Brisa's graduation from veterinary school (will blog about that later), my entire family traveled to Manhattan from California and Virginia including my two month old nephew, Matthias to help her celebrate! Not only that, Matthias' cousin will be joining him anytime now and so I did a mini maternity session with my sister too! Talk about perfect! PLUS! I was able to snap some super fun candids of the very proud grandparents too! All in all, an absolutely wonderful few days filled with family and celebration! Thanks again for joining us in Kansas! God has blessed our family in so many countless ways and I give many thanks and praises to Him!

Be prepared: TONS OF PHOTOS!!!

Look at his cheeks!!! :)

And this is right after Matty just farted :)

MaryJo & Thad ~ ENGAGED!

Almost 1 month ago to the day, Erica of www.ericamay.com emailed me and asked if I had June 27th of this year available for a wedding? Thankfully (for me), I did and that is how I met MaryJo and Thad! When I decided to stay around Kansas for the summer to take on more photography work before leaving for Brooklyn, I was really really worried about not being able to fill my schedule but I've been truly blessed time and time again with opportunities such as this one! How fortunate am I? Not only do amazing people find me, but they just so happen to be beautiful as well! :)

For MaryJo and Thad's session, we headed over to Gage Park in Topeka and then to the Capital Building area. You have no idea how excited I was when they pulled up with a black lab in their backseat! The aptly named Jezebele (so they tell me) was the sweetest dog ever (besides my own, of course)! They have been dating since high school (crazy awesome, right?) and they are one of the cutest and sweetest couples that I have ever met! By spending my morning with them, I could feel how much they love and care for each other (and for Jezebele too!) Thanks again for dealing with my every whim throughout the morning! I had an awesome time and I am super excited for your wedding this weekend! It's going to be absolutely amazing!!!

To see all of their pictures and order professional prints, go to their online gallery: MaryJo & Thad Engaged! Thanks again and I'll see you soon!!!

Gotta love Jezebele protecting her parents :)

"Hey guys, can all three of you get ontop of that giant whale?"

"Okay Chris!"

"Ok, now jump into this giant alligator's mouth."

"Okay Chris!"

One of my new favorite pictures...EVER!

What can I say? Dogs LOVE me!!! :)

Ashley & Garrett ~ Love in Kansas City, MO (an ericamay.com wedding)

For the second time this year, I had the honor and privilege of second shooting with my great friend and amazing photographer, Erica of www.ericamay.com! Erica invited me out for Ashley and Garrett's wedding and I could not have asked for a more beautiful couple! Seriously, check out the photos and you'll know what I am talking about! Erica already blogged about their fabulous wedding here: Kansas City Wedding: Ashley & Garrett so definitely check it out for all of the details, Erica's awesome photos and a behind the scenes photo of me!

So in turn, check some of these action shots of Erica in action (you're welcome Erica) as well as a few shots I took of Ashley and Garrett!!! Thanks again for having me!!! Congrats again to the happy couple!!!

The Arnold & Hayes Families!

You may recall the impromptu photo shoot I did with my favorite miniature long haired wiener dog, Max back in the day...well just from those photos, Max's parents wanted to do a full family photo session!!! Can I just say that the Arnold parents are absolutely positively one of the most hilarious sets of parents that I have ever met? I found myself doubled over in laughter on several occasions because of them and it was awesome! So here are what the Arnold and Hayes families brought to the table: comedians for parents, adorably cute children, matching outfits and the willingness to have a great time. What more could I have wanted? :)

We headed over to Tuttle Creek State Park and the weather was amazing! Not too hot, not too cold and so after a few family portraits we turned the kids loose at the playground and it was perfect! Wow, I really overuse the exclamation point when I blog, but I don't care because that is how excited I am when I work! :) Anywho, thanks again to the Arnold and Hayes families for selecting me as their photographer!

To view and order prints of all of their photos, head on over to their online gallery: Arnold & Hayes Families!
