Hsiehs

Brisa and I wanted to let the dogs run around and play in the snow and so we headed to our favorite dog park and the dogs went crazy! They had such a wonderful time! We absolutely love the snow and we can't get enough of it! I guess that's what happens when you're from California!

Barrett Family - Joy Session

I've been kindly reminded that I haven't updated my blog enough and for that, I apologize :) Two of my biggest reminders and supporters are Chris and Natalie. Awesome couple. Amazing personalities. Willing to do anything for you at the drop of a hat. I definitely would not be where I am today without them! If you recognize the name, Chris owns a freelance graphic design business and he created our award winning (from GDUSA) wedding invitations! Unbelievable creativity and ability! If you ever need any custom design work, contact him - chris@graphictwist.com you won't be disappointed!

Kat, Tyler & Aiden Joy Session

Precious. That's how I would describe little Aiden. So curious about the world and so determined to conquer it! After the terrible weather, we braved the ice and had a photo shoot in one of K-State's residence halls. The staff was awesome and we basically had the entire lobby to ourselves! This family is just so incredibly dynamic! It was a joy just to watch them interact with each other. With such loving and caring parents, I have no doubt that Aiden and his new sister/brother (Kat's due in March!) will be cherished for their entire lives.

Keith/Morgan Family Joy Session

On a crisp morning, I traveled to Riley, KS to shoot the Keith/Morgan clan. Little did I know that they are some of the most energetic and hilarious people that I will ever meet! They all kept me laughing and smiling through and through and I truly had an amazing time taking their pictures! Their love and support for each other is just so tangible and it does not take long for them to show you their true colors :)

Kelsey - Style Session

Kelsey wanted a mixture of fun and serious pictures as a treat to herself for her upcoming college graduation. We had a ton of fun working our way around the old cemetary and Kelsey's personality truly came out through the variety of wonderful backgrounds and poses! She's such a dynamic and creative person and I feel better now that I know her! :)

Ice Storm in the Midwest

Unbelievable. Indescribable. The ice storm that has effected the majority of the Midwest has knocked out 25% of our county's electricity. Kansas State University has opened its Student Union as a shelter for those without power and is offering its gym for people to take warm showers. It is amazing how devastating this storm has been and yet how incredibly beautiful it is as well. More pictures in the gallery and I will continue to add to them as I see more of the town.

Shauna & Logan Attraction Session

Had the wonderful opportunity to shoot an engagement session with Shauna & Logan the other night and even though it was quite frigid outside, they were both definitely up for anything and we had an awesome time! From their amazing story to where they want to go in the future, Shauna and Logan are perfect for each other and just in the minuscule glimpse that I was with them, the strength of their love and commitment was totally evident. Best of luck to the both of you with your wedding plans and your future!

The Dexter Family - Joy Session

If I had to describe the Dexter family in one word, the word would definitely be giggly. Always smiling and laughing, the Dexter family is an incredibly active bunch with a ton of energy and charisma! They were a treat to photograph on a beautiful Fall day and the only thing missing was the father who is currently serving our country abroad. A special tribute to him and to all of our service men and women who are away for the upcoming holidays.

Ashley & Bryant Attraction Session Part Deux

Had another opportunity to hang out with Ashley and Bryant and this time they brought along a little special someone, Remy! We had a wonderful time running around Wildcat Creek Park and Remy was definitely a handful, but he helped to produce some really fun emotions and expressions! It's difficult to not have fun with the three of them because they are all just so full of life, energy and wit. Best of luck to you two in your wedding planning!

Amy Jo & Caleb Attraction Session

Back to the site where their engagement scavenger hunt began, I had the awesome opportunity to meet Amy Jo and Caleb and shoot their engagement session at Anneberg Park! The Fall colors were really starting to peak and so we took full advantage and had a wonderful time. From tugboats to random small shelters to "photo booths", I had a blast following them around and watching their fun and loving relationship. Now, I can't wait to shoot their wedding next summer! Congrats you two!

Melissa & Adam Attraction Session

A beautiful fall evening was the backdrop for a fun and at times, silly, engagement shoot with Melissa and Adam. It was my first opportunity to shoot at the K-State University Gardens and now I can't wait to go back! Melissa, with her gorgeous dimples and Adam with his strong jawline made for outstanding poses and captures. By only hanging out with them for a short while, I could easily sense the bond and commitment that they shared through the many years of their relationship! Best of luck to both of you with your wedding planning!
