Rahne Family | Joy Session | Manhattan, KS | Brandi

Back up. Back way way way up. Yup, that is when I met the awesome Rahne family! When Jennifer first contacted me for a session we had decided to break it into two shoots to accommodate her husband, Ricky's hectic coaching schedule and it couldn't have worked out better! I met Jennifer and her adorable son, Ryder, for our first session at Tuttle Creek Park with a little help from Grandma and Grandpa. It was an absolutely gorgeous afternoon with golden autumn tones adorning the trees and scattered throughout the grass. We were off to a great start with Ryder in the most adorable knit sweater I have ever seen; yet, as much as he liked to stare at the camera, he was not having too much fun :( We tried toys, leaves and funny noises but who else is better for the job than Grandpa!? So, I made an executive decision and hired him for the afternoon! He ever got on all fours to make Ryder smile! What an amazing opportunity to photograph the pure joy that children into the lives of their loved ones.

We met a few days later with dad in front of the Vanier Football complex to capture some true family love and by family, I am extending the label to include some of the K-State athletes too! They jumped right in when Ryder was no longer impressed by my noise makers and gimmicks to help put a smile on Ryder's face! This just illustrates what kind of people the Rahnes are: anyone who passed said hello and wished them well. I am happy to have me them and hope the moments I caught do their family's love justice.

Thank you Jennifer, Ricky and Ryder for such a great session! I can't wait to see Ryder and the rest of the family again soon!
