What a wonderful and exciting event! On Sunday, September 9th, I was asked to help document the first ever World Rabies Day event in Manhattan, Kansas and I felt honored and privileged to participate in such a memorable celebration! The mission of World Rabies Day is to raise awareness about the impact of human and animal rabies, how easy it is to prevent it, and how to eliminate the main global sources. Over 40 countries hosted events each with their own flair and games. In Manhattan, live music, outstanding speakers, various booths and vendors, a 5k run and a multitude of games for the kids highlighted the event!
