I’ve now had the distinct pleasure to shoot with miss Emma TWICE! You may recall I did a Style Session for Emma last fall- but Emma is a dancer, and we wanted to do some in-studio work as well to capture this major part of her life. It’s just a joy to watch Emma Dance. Her love for it is obvious, and I hope she keeps it in her life forever, because hers is a skill that makes people happy. Ashley is gorgeous. She has gorgeous horses, Shady and Rio. Her horses have awesome personalities. As in ridiculously awesome personalities. They made me laugh hysterically in their interactions with Ashley! We spent a lovely afternoon at Ashley's parents' home and created some super fun images!

After the success of last year's Ten Word Birthday Story Contest, I figured we should do it again! I'm so excited to share "Proper Pin-ups" with you! This brainchild was launched by Alison Pulcher, Military-Community Liaison for the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce. The Manhattan and Fort Riley Yellow Ribbon Social Group hosts events twice a month for spouses of deployed or otherwise displaced soldiers, with the intent of being a fun evening of socializing and de-stressing. Events and locations vary, and this was a "special event" night.
Everything about the evening was a blast. Everyone was authentically dressed- hair and makeup killed it- and Harry's was the perfect venue (of course we are obsessed with their food, too) and the ladies were excited for the shoot and totally willing to work it for these photos. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did =). Thanks to all the other participating businesses and to Alison for connecting us all! Enjoy, and leave these brave ladies some love for their families' service and for decking themselves out for some much-needed fun time!

I have been blessed with wonderful friends. Already in Oahu we were introduced to some wonderful people and wonderful people often do wonderful things. The L family is a part of that connection. Miss Adelyn wasn’t too keen on me despite my best funny face efforts, but I am thrilled with how the session turned out! Happy 2nd birthday beautiful girl!
